As a Managing Consultant, you take on a crucial role in our team, where new challenges and opportunities await you every day. You will handle your own complex client projects—ideally utilizing additional resources—and you will take on the mandate responsibility for other CoCo projects managed by other consultants. In the spirit of a ‘Senior Presence,’ you will support your colleagues and ensure that our clients consistently receive the highest quality. Additionally, you will address the technical and organizational special topics arising from ongoing projects as a ‘Project Sponsor.’ In your own projects, you typically act as an interim CFO or interim Head of Finance, or you will be entrusted with the overall responsibility for conducting our ‘CoCo Finance Startup Assessments.’
Either because our clients are experiencing rapid growth and suitable internal personnel cannot be found on short notice, or because existing employees are temporarily or permanently unavailable, we take on these roles in the startups. With calmness and expertise, you navigate the complexities of the business, thereby significantly supporting the success of the startup. These larger interim roles typically have substantial exposure to management and, in some cases, also within the shareholder group.
As a Managing Consultant, you take overall responsibility for conducting individual CoCo Finance Startup Assessments. With the trained eye of an experienced CFO/Head of Finance, we analyze the finance team, finance processes, collaboration with tax advisors, various tax issues, and, of course, the quality of accounting, controlling, and reporting at the respective target. As a result, we create a report based on predefined audit points in a fixed layout.
Both on your own projects and in the spirit of a ‘Senior Presence’ on the projects of others in the team, you take on project management to ensure that our clients consistently receive high-quality results. Your trained eye and strategic thinking will lay the foundation for greatness. If necessary, you will also address the technical and organizational special topics that may arise from ongoing projects (‘Project Sponsor’).
You build strong and trusting relationships with our clients on ongoing projects, ensuring that CoCo Finance remains the first point of contact for supplementary and follow-up projects. Your passion for excellence, customer orientation, and commitment will be the secret recipe for this.

You do not shy away from diving into the technical details. Armed with extensive skills and a thirst for knowledge, you feel comfortable working with DATEV, previously unknown accounting tools, complex Excel/GSheet models, and various upstream and downstream finance tools related to accounting, or you are ready to familiarize yourself with them in the necessary depth on short notice.
You are a leader who inspires those around you to reach new heights. You have at least 10 years of relevant professional experience and have already gained significant experience in a larger role as CFO or VP of Finance.

You have a completed master’s degree in Business Administration or a comparable qualification. Due to your previous career, you have a very good understanding of many operational areas of finance in a startup (including accounting). You communicate convincingly in both German and English.
